Seamie's First Communion

Seamus was very, very excited on his 1st Communion day.  He was a bit nervous to read his petition and did not trust that I would give him the cue to go up on time.  Needless, to say, everything worked out.  He did a great job and was super handsome to top it all off.  I think he felt very special to have a day to himself.

We were very glad to celebrate with Grandma and Pap, the extended Murray family and the O'Mahoney's.  Thanks to Aunt Meg for the photos.

Perhaps our favorite moment of the evening came when Seamus received a medal from Aunt Cate and his godfather, Uncle Dave.  We asked him what the medal said and he replied "St. James, Party for us."  It read "Pray for Us".... Now, according to the internet, St. James is the patron saint of Spain, of laborers and of pilgrims.  Not parties, but maybe Seamie is on to something new!

We love you Seamus Owen!  You certainly bring excitement to our lives.

Look at that little turkey...
