I told her, "the price of beauty."  She didn't seem to care.

New Cousin

We've spent a lot of time looking at Afton -- on her blog and on Facebook.  She is very advanced in her use of technology.

Some of us didn't understand why she had "Orange hair" (the turban) and others were more interested in pictures of cousin, Steve, but overall we all can't wait to meet her!! 

The Spookers

Tonight it was our turn to spook!

We packed our treat bags.

Snuck over to the neighbors....

And left them a treat!

Spooked!

We've been "Spooked!"  We received this note and bag of candy on our porch this morning.  First, we were convinced (mainly by Sean McNeela) that a ghost had surely been behind this Halloween treat.  Later, after having read the note and realizing that we are now in charge of "Spooking!" three other neighbors, we decided that another Waiola Avenue resident must have been behind the spooking.  We feel much better about this than the ghost option.

We are currently deciding who will be the recipients of our candy.  Tomorrow, we will sneak out into the 7 PM darkness and give others a SPOOK!  Stay tuned for further details...

It was 42 degrees outside when we woke up this AM!

Dad's New Toy

Meet Dad's new girlfriend, the smoker.  His sisters and mother gave it to him as an early birthday gift.  Mike has already smoked ribs and a pork shoulder.  He gets up bright and early (7:30 AM) to get her going and by 5 :00 we have a wonderfully smoked piece of meat.  

Boy, is he happy.
