The Party

Saoirse had her friends and Chicago family over for her 2nd Birthday party today. We enjoyed a Pigeon cake, a pinata and had lots of fun playing outside. Saoirse's baby really made out today. She got a pack n play and a stroller. Saoirse also enjoyed a backpack with her name on it and a few Dora related items. She had a really great time :) I think she is going to be sad that her birthday is over!

2nd Birthday Blast!

Miss Saoirse woke up quite happy on her 2nd Birthday.
She sang "Happy Birthday" to herself, she sang to the plastic fish in her crib aquarium
...she sang "Happy Birthday" all day long.

I took Saoirse to breakfast for bagels and cream cheese. Bagels are just a conduit for the cream cheese. She ate all of her cream cheese as well as mine...and 1/2 of 1/2 of a bagel.

We had some pink cupcakes.

Saoirse went out to test her new scooter and helmut.

And then she took out the garbage. Doesn't seem like something that a person should have to do on her birthday but it's one of her favorite things to do.

Loosey Goosey

Finn T. officially has a loose tooth. The dentist said his two bottom teeth were loose, but really, you could hardly tell. Within the last week one of his bottom teeth has become very wiggly.

Kind of made me a little misty eyed....my baby.

Miss Livy Comes to LaGrange Park

We survived our two days with four kids under six years of age. Sam and Meg took a 30th birthday trip to Napa and between the grandmas and aunts and uncles, Livy stayed in Chicago for a whirlwind stay with her cousins.
Truthfully, I was never really worried about Livy. She is so sweet and fun to play with. It was Saoirse I was worried about. And I was right...

The Fuzz was well aware that all eyes were no longer on her and she took full advantage to practice her naughty ways, running away, rolling in the dirt and giving Livy a few loving tackles when no one was looking.
Overall, Uncle Bobo and I were pretty exhausted, but everyone slept well, had fun and sustained no injuries as far as we could tell. I am pretty sure that Olivia wants to move to the suburbs now...and Finn cried this morning when she had to go. Come back any time, Liv!

The New Swing Set

We recently acquired our neighbors swing set. Mike solicited the help of friends, Seamus (known to us as Big Seamus) and Barry. Let's just say the process wasn't pretty.
We are all thankful that our neighbor, Tom, saved the day...and our marriage.
The kids are thrilled!
