We used our Family Membership at the Zoo for the first time today.  You probably heard, but a goose got me.  Bit me right on the elbow.  I'm ok.  At least it wasn't the elephant.  Love, Seamie

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

This morning (around 5:30 AM, just after Seamie joined us in bed), I was trying to think of a creative idea for Mother's Day - different from the usual manicure or pretty note cards.

I decided upon the creation of this blog; a way for Grandma and Pap to see what we are up to everyday -- to help us all feel a little closer to each other even if we live in different cities. I hope that, while we talk on the phone many times during the week, exchange pictures via email and attempt to use Skype, that this blog can be one more way to share the everyday lives of our sweet children with their loving grandparents. I hope that it can be a way to hold on to our memories and share them with our family in Pittsburgh. I hope that it lasts long enough for the kids to put their own posts on here and share the in's and out's, up's and down's and everyday craziness that goes on in their lives. For Grandma and Pap -- we miss you everyday.
