Can you believe these people are going to school tomorrow?
For all intents and purposes, today was the last day of summer. The weather cooperated and we spent most of our time playing. We went for some last day of summer ice cream cones.
We picked up our box of supplies at school....which got us somewhat excited (maybe).
We are packed and ready to go. We even made it into bed by 8:30....though I doubt any sleeping is going on. 1st Grade here he comes!
We met Cate and kids at the Zoo for a marathon 3 hour session at the "Family Zoo" section. We did not see any animals save for a few lemars because we were so busy building forts, pretending to be vets and watering the Zoo's plants.
Oh, and petting hissing cockroaches.
Seamus' face paint came in very handy when a late evening game of "Kick the Can" broke out. He was virtually undetectable against the night time sky.
There was a movie showing in our park tonight. It was, you guessed it, CARS! So, we all went, along with Sean and Doyle for our 246 viewing of the much beloved Pixar favorite. Popcorn, licorice and Lightening were enjoyed by all.
