Proud Artist

Fuzz is so proud of her "Apple Picture." She points it out every time she passes through the door. I think it must be the first piece of art that she has had displayed. Poor Fuzz.

Fall Has Arrived

Seamus has his Halloween gear on and pumpkin bread is back at Trader Joe's!
Fall has arrived!

We also went through 12 muffins in less than 12 hours. Having two growing boys with growing boy friends means way more food.

What Goes On Inside Their Heads

Last nights dinner conversation:

Finn: Mom, will you be home alone when Saoirse goes to school tomorrow?
Mom: Yes!
Finn: What will you do?
Mom: I don't know. What do you think I should do?
Seamus: You see that over there (referring to the china cabinet)? You should climb up there and jump off of that.
Mom: Oh. I never thought of that. Finn, what would you do if you were home alone?
Finn: Get the hose. Fill the house up with water and make a boat.
Mom: That might cause a lot of damage to our house.
Finn shrugs, having never considered this angle.

One hour later in the basement:

Scene: All children are wrestling. Saoirse is sitting on Seamus' head.

Finn: Seamus! There is a vagina on your head!!!
Mom: Finn, we don't need to be talking about Saoirse's vagina.

(Pause)

Finn: Ok. Seamus!!! Saoirse's nuts are on your head!!!!

Back On the Playing Field

"Baby Lizzie, don't you think this is boring? When will I get to play?"

Last but not least...

...the Fuzz goes to "school"!

She did very well today. There was some whining but then she went in without me. I watched her on the monitor while she wandered around a bit but there were no tears. Miss Rhonda said she asked for me a lot but didn't cry.

Saoirse was very proud of herself at the end of the day.
All smiles and hugs.

Seamus Owen Goes to Preschool!

Seamus Owen went to Preschool today!
For 30 minutes with his mother...but anyway, he did great!

We kissed Elmo goodbye.

Posed for a few required photos.

And headed to school. Seamus got to play with all of the fun toys, paints, rice tables and playdough for a bit and then sang a few songs and enjoyed a book read by Mrs. Georges.

No one wanted to go home so fortunately we get to return tomorrow!
