Too Hot For Words...

Yes, Seamie has a large gash on his bean from falling off of a (very low) wall.
Must we walk on top of everything we see?

Home, Sweet Home

As you can imagine, we've been doing a lot of this....

And this....
Tons of baseball.  The tee for Seamie and pitching for Finn (who seems to think that he has moved beyond the tee).   Fuzz is the only one wanting to play in the water.

The china cabinet arrived today as well!

Children's Museum

We went to the Chidren's Museum today because it was very rainy.
They had a new "Block Party" exhibit that was enjoyed by all.

We made pizza.

And more pizza...

And rocked out on the stage.

Lou was on drums.

Mike and I also did our "walk through" this afternoon.  Boy, they have a lot to clean up tonight!

We're Back!

Sorry we have been gone for so long!

Little Long Lake, Michigan

Fuzz is a water lover.
She sat herself right down in that lake and licked the water for a good long while.

And the boys jumped like spider monkeys from dawn till dusk.

Today we made a trip to Foster Avenue Beach in Chicago.  Dug some very deep sand holes, filled them with water, had a picnic and returned home.

The Great Outdoors

King of the World on a beautiful Chicago day.

Just walk already...

Poking for bugs.

Seamie LOVES bugs.  He picks up anything that has legs.  We have a new rule that we only pick up worms.  I'm afraid he's going to get bit by something!

Sun God.

Click on the forward arrow below to see Seamie peddling!  Finally!

Real First Day of Summer Vacation

Today was the first official day of summer vacation (yesterday it rained from sun up to sun down so it doesn't count).  We had a picnic on the front lawn and played a lot of "Eye Spy".  Eye Spy goes something like this:

Seamus:  I spy  blue car.
Mama: No, Seamie, just tell us the color.  Don't tell us what it is.
Seamus:  I spy blue car.
Mama:  Ok.

After lunch, nap and a Father's Day art session we met the Comer's at a pool near out new house.  We had lots of fun in the "small" (not baby) pool and big pool.  Seamie and I went down the water slide.  Finn is proud to report he went down alone.  Lou was nervous at first (clawing her nails into Mama's back for about 45 minutes, but by the end of the trip she was laughing and splashing and was holding onto the side of the "small" pool by herself.

We had a few treats at the snack shop, bringing me back to my Crafton Pool days....

Is that Saoirse in a black bikini?  Yes, it is.

And finally, Aveen Margaret Mac Entee was born at 2:30 PM today.  Another friend in La Grange.  Welcome Aveen!

Weekend Review

The Oak Park Farmer's Market has homemade hot donuts.
We've had them the last two Saturdays.
Our butts and theighs are glad that we didn't buy a house in Oak Park....

Then we headed down to Holstein Park for our last Bucktown T Ball game.
Trophy featured below.

Off we went to Lake Geneva where Seamie picked up where he left off last summer.

And T. ventured into the lake water for the first time in the three years that we have been coming to Lake Geneva.  Swim lessons and water shoes seem to have helped the fear of seaweed that lurks in the shallow water.  Go Finn Go!
