A Piece of History

This is Mr. Bob Hilton and his wife and cousin.  Mr. Hilton grew up in our house, went to Ogden School and graduated from Lyons Township HS.  He went off to WW II and has since made his life in Canada.  He stopped by to see his old house, 542 North Waiola, with his cousin who grew up around the corner.  They were in town for their LTHS reunion.

Finn, Saoirse and I gave them a tour and learned a lot of interesting stories about our house.  The Hilton's had many happy memories of holidays, dancing in the living room and family mishaps such as brothers getting stuck in the laundry shoot (sounds like something we would do).  They were very cute...teary eyed and very pleased to be here .

It was quite a treat to get to meet them and learn about our house and neighborhood.
